Silk

If you want to feel totally pampered, there's nothing better than a bed dressed with 100% silk bedding. But we would never recommend a purchase like this without considering the practical issues, too. Naturally breathable and hypoallergenic, silk is a surprisingly sensible choice. If you're planning to give your bedroom a luxury silk makeover, there are a few things you should know.

Silk Bedding Options

You can now choose to dress your bed entirely in silk. From silk Protectors to silk-filled Duvets, our silk range gives you plenty of choice. Start by discovering our collection of utterly perfect Silk Bedlinen - gorgeously friction-free - but don't go without taking a look at the beguilingly breathable Silk Protector, Silk Duvet, and Silk Pillows.

Silk Bedding Sizes

From a modest Single to an extravagant Superking, every bed size can be draped in silk. Our duvets and pillows are filled and encased with pure Mulberry Silk, to naturally draw away moisture from your body. The range includes products for Single, Double, King, and Superking beds. If you like a bigger duvet, or you share with a duvet-stealer, then you might want to consider ordering one size up from your mattress size.

Our silk pillows come in Standard, Superking and Square sizes (the latter is perfect for dressing up your bed, designer-style).

Silk Bedlinen is a great match for your new silk bedding. We offer a classic range in Ivory Mulberry Silk - a world-class grade of silk that is comprised of unusually long fibres, giving it a truly elegant drape. Choose it for your Flat Sheet, Fitted Sheet, Duvet Cover, and Pillowcase.

Silk Duvet Tog Ratings

In the UK, duvets have a Tog rating to let you know how warm or cool they are. The Tog rating measures the duvet's heat-retention capacity. Being naturally breathable, silk draws away body moisture as you sleep, leaving you fresh and dry in the morning.

Our Mulberry Silk duvets come in the complete range of Tog ratings. The 4.5 Tog is perfect for summer; the 9.0 Tog is for autumn and spring; and the 13.5 Tog is suitable for winter. If you tend to be a warmer or cooler sleeper (or your bedroom is cavernous!), you might want to order a higher or lower Tog rating than recommended.
