A night without our snug and sumptuous duvets makes us want to shudder, but when it’s for a good cause, we’re more than happy to spread the word!

At the end of this month, hundreds will surrender their comfy bedding in the name of charity and instead spend the night in a cardboard box at one of London’s best known markets to raise cash for street children in Brazil.

The 12-hour mass sleep out will be the first of its kind at the prestigious Spitalfields Market, and will hopefully raise £15,000 for the ABC Trust which works with some of Brazil’s estimated seven million street children and vulnerable young people.

The Big City Sleep starts at 6pm on Monday 30th November when sleepers will secure their spot before learning more about the ABC Trust and enjoying music from Brazilian band Zeep and a capoeira demonstration from the East London Capoeira Group – plus a hot meal before they bed down for a cold night to provide for a great cause.
