Believe it or not, but out there in this mad crazy world is a group of people who have come together to form The Pillow Fight Club.

This mob gang arrange pillow fights around the globe for people to turn up and have the biggest pillow fight ever!

People simply find out the location of the pillow fight and the exact time, grab their best bedding pillow and then hurry off to the destination and fight till their hearts content.

There have been many pre-arranged pillow fights over the years, with the most recent taking place in San Fransisco in March this year, which saw hundreds of people gather to battle it out.

In fact this feathery event is so popular they have even made an official World Pillow Fight Day on April 4th to take place every year across many cities around the globe.

The rules of the Pillow Fight go a little something like this:

  1. Each attendee must tell as many people as possible about the fight.
  2. Bring their own pillow. Can be a feathered pillow, memory foam pillow; entirely your choice!)
  3. Need to keep it concealed before the fight starts
  4. Everyone who brings a pillow is expected to participate
  5. Individuals not carry a pillow must not be hit unless they specifically ask you to.
  6. Guests must not put anything heavy into their pillows as the idea is to have a fun time and not leave with concussion!

To give you a sample of what it is all about we have found a few action pictures and clips from the feathery day! Enjoy!

We like to think that most of us are house proud and keep everything in tip top condition. Sometimes we made decide to have the night off from hoovering and plonk ourselves in front of the TV instead, which is completely fine, but if you are doing it every night it may become a bit of a problem.

We decided to find out how messy people can be and searched the World Wide Web for the messiest rooms around the globe. It is clear these people who own these discraceful bedrooms have never heard of a washing machine, polish, hoover or (well we are just guessing here!) air freshener!

Disgusting!

Disgusting!

This bedroom is attrocious. We don’t mind that people have a night off from cleaning but we think they have left it a little too long! And how on this gods earth do they go to sleep??
Gross!

Gross!

This is ludicrous! Absolutely gross and in dyer need of a clean out. How on earth can they move in this room and where is the bed? All I can see is takeaway boxes? I can’t imagine that those bedding pillows and mattress is very clean and probably full of rats droppings!

We don’t think that this lady should be putting her thumbs up to this room! And if she thinks that opening the window will get rid of the smell she has another think coming. We think she needs to start by cleaning the room and invest into a hoover!
Bedrooms should be kept as tidy as possible and in tip top condition so you get a comfortable night’s sleep and don’t have any problems with dust mites or allergies.
If you suffer from allergies it may be a good idea to get hypoallergenic pillowswhich help prevent dust mites from getting into your nose while you sleep.
First of all we think you should tidy the room first as these type of bedding pillows are not going to get rid of dust mites for you!

Little boys when they are young are generally in to cars, bikes, wrestling, and superheroes, anything with a bit of action in them.

You will often find that many parents have to heavily invest in a wide range of accessories for their child’s bedroom to recreate their boys bedroom into a racing rally track, action man tent or wrestling ring, whatever their hobby or interest is.

We have searched the world wide web to find the best boys bedrooms from around the globe for you to sneak a few ideas from. Enjoy!

There is so much to think about when decorating a room regardless of the style and colour or theme. You need to consider your bedding pillows and whether you want memory foam pillows or feathered pillows for your bedroom.
Then there is the mattress and what you can afford. If you can’t afford a brand new mattress you may want to go and buy a memory foam mattress topper a comfortable but more affordable version of a memory foam mattress.

Beds are usually known to be kept in the bedroom within a home. We hate leaving it in the morning and look forward to getting back into it at night, making the bedroom our ultimate favourite room.

However, we have searched the world wide wide to see if there is anyone out there who preferred their bed to be either rather obscure or in a rather peculiar place. We didn’t expect to stumble across much but much to our amazement we found a few and decided to share them with you.

Take a look at some of this rather strange locations and see where you would prefer to stay the night.

This bed is called Float and has a modern take on traditional canopy beds, made of natural latex, bamboo and wool. The stunning bed is situated in the perfect peaceful surroundings on a stunning beach, making it even more difficult to get up each day for work. Beautiful bed but would hate to be in it when it is raining.

This rather bizarre bed is not really to our fancy and the thought of sleeping in a coffin while you are alive and kicking is rather worrying. Think we will leave this one to the Vampires.

Rather scary Vampire bed.

This egg-shaped bed is one of our favourites and looks super comfy. Definitely needed for outdoor use though, I cant imagine it will fit comfortably in a bedroom.

Pretty cool design but can imagine it will be a bit freezing outside.

Your home should be your castle, except when you are allergic to it. Your bedroom should be your haven, except when you are sneezing throughout the night.

The bedroom is proven to be the most allergy prone room in the house.

We recommend the first thing you should do is to put all hypoallergenic casings on your bedding pillows, mattresses or memory foam toppers.

Or go on to hollow fibre pillows a great way to beat the allergies. Polyester –filled, there are no mites in hollow fibre pillows and it is health risk free making it perfect for people who suffer with allergies.

Hypoallergenic pillows and bedding are synthetic filled and have the ability to be washed at 60°C, compressing well into a domestic washing machine.

Both the micro fibre pillows and bedding can be washed time and time again and will remain hypoallergenic without the lost of comfort.

Or you could choose Hollow fibre pillows which may be dressed in bed linen only and protects it from the dirt. The pillow may also be washed in temperatures of up to 60°C.

Dust mites can live in bedding pillows, all types of mattresses including, memory foam mattresses, memory foam mattress toppers and duvets which can cause a person to have a restless sleep.

If you purchase bedding products, such as microfibre pillows, the microfibre is woven into dense covers that do not allow the dustmites to escape and bother the allergy sufferer.

Microfibre has made a massive difference to the lives of those with allergies. Bedding pillows, mattress protectors, mattress toppers made with microfibre exteriors have reduced the problems for those allergic to dust mites significantly.

When decorating your room it is often difficult to decide what colour to go for and what colours work best with each other to make the room complimentary and comfortable.

From the bedding pillows to the carpet, everything has to match and look good against each other. We decided to look for rooms that really didn’t think about two-tone or mixing colours and just stayed to one colour throughout.

Red Room

This red room is in The Madonna In in San Obispo, California and it is named the Tack Room…we can see why!

White Room

white-room

As lovely as this room is, it isn’t really practical to have it all white! You wouldn’t let anyone in!

Pink Room

Now we can be a bit lenient with pink, especially when it comes to little girls but this is just a little bit too far!

Black Room

I really don’t think that adding white bedding pillows to this room counts as a two-colour bedroom. It is all black and rather scary looking.

Memory Foam Massage Table

Memory Foam Massage Table

Needing a massage? Wanting to have one in comfort and style?

Well a new memory foam portable massage table has been designed to offer the perfect platform for that much needed massage.

The multi-density  foam padding conforms to each users body shape to give them the perfect lying position when having their massage.

The multi layer  foam padding includes a high density layer topped with plush memory foam, which works in a very similar way to a memory foam mattress topper which is placed over your mattress at home.

Memory foam is ideal for a massage table as the memory foam conforms to body heat, moulding to the shape of the body which further supports muscles and joints. This is a fantastic way to promote your massage salon saying that the memory foam is designed to support the rest of your body while you are having your massage.

Memory foam mattresses can be very pricey but luckily a cheaper but just as effective method has been designed known as a memory foam mattress topper.

The memory foam mattress topper is placed over your existing mattress and provides the same cushioned supportive feel.

There is also a wide range of memory foam pillows which support your head and neck while you sleep.

For more information about memory foam mattress products visit Duvet and Pillow Warehouse today.

Here at Duvet and Pillow Warehouse we love trailing the web looking for weird wacky and wonderful designs to make you laugh, smile or think ergh!

Well here we go again but this time we are looking at some rather cool and creative beds for your home. Enjoy!

Floating Bed

As much as we would like to think it was floating, it really isn’t! This floating bed is simply supported by a single beam attached to the wall. The guy on this bed has clearly got too much time on his hands and has really got sucked in by the advertising of the floating bed. Oh well, each to their own!

Librarians Room

For all the book lovers out there this bed is probably the best for you. Designed in Tokyo the bed was named the Uroko house and is perfect for young children who love to hide away and build dens in their bedrooms.

Literally the coolest bed I have ever seen! Complete with a projector the screen allows you to watch movies, TV and browse the Internet.
Ferrari of all beds

Ferrari of all beds

And without evening mentioning the price for most of these fantastic beds, you can probably already see that they are rather costly. If these are pretty much out of your budget (which I think for most of us it is!) then find new ways of getting the best bedroom on the block. If you can’t do it with design buy bedding pillows of high quality such as feather pillows and be known as having the comfiest bed in the house.
If feathers don’t tickle your fancy be the best in the house and buy a memory foam mattress topper for your bed. That way you will have the best night’s sleep, the most support on your muscles and joints and the cosiest bed there can be.

Most of us dream every night and wake up confused wondering what it was all about. Some of us go to bed with a lot on our minds and let our head run away with us while we sleep often resulting in nightmares. At Duvet and Pillow Warehouse we know the importance of sleep and have put together the common top 5 dreams and what they all mean! Enjoy!

Falling

The most common dream mankind speak of is falling. The old wives tale of ‘if you dream you are falling and hit the ground you will die’ is simply not true and I am still awaiting for a dead person to tell me otherwise.

Falling in your dreams revolves around your subconscious that something in your life- relationship, financial or career problems – is rapidly going in the wrong direction. It means you may need to redirect the situation immediately.

Being Chased

If you are being chased in your dream, it is often the case that someone in the real world is on your back about a particular problem. When you next have this dream ask yourself, ‘Am I trying to avoid someone?’ ‘Am I trying to get out of holding some responsibility?’ Whatever the case may be, you need to stop running and start facing up to your problems otherwise the issue will continue to follow you.

Teeth Falling Out

Don’t worry yourself as this has nothing to do with your oral hygiene. If you have been dreaming your teeth are falling out, it maybe that you have been gossiping about someone or said something to someone you wish you hadn’t. Whatever you have said, you should have kept whatever it was in your mouth…like your teeth!

Back At School

Generally this dream is about your job. If you think back school was almost the same concept as a job. You wore a uniform, you had to be there at a certain time, you had to do homework, you wanted everyone to like you and you were continuously striving to get to the next level. If you are dreaming of failing an exam, getting lost in the school, taking an exam with no clothes on etc it generally means that pressure and stress levels at work are really getting to you.

Spouse Cheating On You

Generally if you dream about your spouse cheating on you, it is because you feel they are spending too much time on other things like work rather than you. It doesn’t usually mean that they are cheating on you, but you just feel ‘cheated’ that your sweetie isn’t spending as much time with you as you would like. Instead of going in all guns blazing saying s/he dream cheated on you, see it as a wake up call that the pair of you need to spend more quality time together.

Despite our endless dreams that will continue every night we sleep, make sure it isn’t your bedding pillows or mattress that is keeping you awake and visit Duvet and Pillow Warehouse today to get the perfect bedding accessories to give you a happy dream-filled sleep.

Carrying on from last Friday we are finishing off our top bizarre bedroom designs we have manage to locate on the world wide web!

They only get better!

Symbols Symbols Symbols

Actually looks pretty cool but it would be horrible if you were drunk and couldn't find the door to get to the bathroom! Not a pretty sight!

Actually looks pretty cool but it would be horrible if you were drunk and couldn't find the door to get to the bathroom! Not a pretty sight!

This symbolic room is rather wacky and definitely adds something new to bedroom designs but you would actually feel you were stuck in a box and would probably go mental with the walls, the floor, the desk, the bed and windows all looking the same.
Tomb Room
Lying in a tomb...grossest thing I have ever heard!

Lying in a tomb...grossest thing I have ever heard!

Now as much as the decor doesn’t look as bad as the others, the design is meant to be like an Egyptian tomb and that thought alone is the scariest thought ever. No thanks I will just stick to my four poster bed.
Do not enter! Workmen on site.
This just looks like you have stepped off the road and into a building site. Where the comfort comes into this is beyond me!

This just looks like you have stepped off the road and into a building site. Where the comfort comes into this is beyond me!

Now as much as we enjoy creative designs we think is going a step to far. I bet the person who’s room this is thought it was work in progress and yet to be finished…they are still waiting!
